Are you a materialist or a minimalist?

A materialist is someone who values the possession of material possessions and the pursuit of wealth and status through these possessions. A materialistic lifestyle is about getting more possessions and showing them to others.

A minimalist, on the other hand, values having fewer material possessions and a simple, purposeful lifestyle. A minimalist strives to minimize the impact of material possessions on his/her life and environment and focuses on having only the essential possessions that are necessary to live a comfortable life.
