A dangerous friendship - Part 14
While riding, Anne notices that her mind is not there. She's really nervous about her date. What can she expect? What should she do if the date isn't fun? Can she just walk away? Her horse Pien also seems to notice that Anne is up to something, because she doesn't seem to be in the mood today either. It makes Anne restless, causing her to feel even more nervous than she already is. After only driving a short round, she is therefore already heading back to the stables. She spends the rest of the time she has left on caring for her. βShall I brush you nicely?β. Pien looks at her and whines in agreement.
While Anne brushes her horse, she gradually feels the calm coming back into her body. βThis calm feels good,β she thinks to herself. As she feels herself becoming increasingly calm, she also feels the space coming to talk. She tells Pien about her date and the plans for the day. Would the date go well? Pien does not answer this and stares at Anne with a blurry look. As if she doesn't have a ready answer to this either, right now, for the moment. The answer to this question must therefore take a while. Surely Anne can't show up to her date while she still smells like a horse? nonetheless? After riding, she therefore stops by home for an extensive shower first. She notices that taking care of her horse has done her good. She feels so happy when she comes home.
