Christmas Stockings 3
Last Christmas, I had fun completing another stocking project. This was a gift for a friend. Because all of the rectangles were planned as presents, I tried a new idea and applied actual ribbons to the work. I wanted to use other materials other than simply felt fabric. Which was Ok, I've tried it before, but I wanted to give it a bit of colour variety. (And cutting little strips of felt is so difficult!) It was a bit of a challenge stitching the ribbons onto the work, but a little patience (in the end I had to secure a few of the ribbon ends with a tiny bit of glue), but I think the result was great. All that effort paid off. The special thing about this and the previous stockings that I made is that they are all had-sewn and all different. And although some of them were so detailed that it was a lot of work, it was still fun to see how they turned out.
