What a vacation on the Costa del Sol, Spain means to me.
Last May, I spent two wonderful weeks on the Costa del Sol in Spain. Although this area is extremely touristy and busy, I always relax here. Normally, I don't like crowded tourist spots, but because I've been coming here from an early age, it feels like coming home.
Although, of course, I also appreciate going on an adventure during a vacation, a place where you can really relax and know everything on a different level is also valuable. With that rest, I often come to new insights and I have time and space for self-reflection.
Like many Dutch people, I like to sunbathe when I have a few weeks off. It is not without reason that, wherever you are on the coast, you always hear a few words of Dutch. Sometimes you have to pay attention, because we Dutch people can be quite loud and direct. Don't forget that there are also other people who sometimes listen in to your conversations. -)
By the way, have you ever eaten real churros?
It wasn't until this vacation that I learned that churros originally came from Spain. In Spain, they are also much tastier than what you would expect from a fair stall. Actually, that's nothing compared to real Spanish churros, served with a cup of thick, creamy chocolate that's far too big. I often went to a nice churros place in the morning for my first cup of coffee.
