Donald John Trump is one of the most talked-about figures in recent American history. Before becoming the 45th President of the United States in 2016, he had already built a long career as a real estate tycoon, television personality, and businessman. Here I will discuss his background, education and the achievements he has achieved during his political career.

Origin and youth

Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York City. He is the fourth of five children born to Fred Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod Trump. His father, Fred Trump, was a successful real estate developer who specialized in building and managing rental properties in New York. His mother, Mary Anne, was an immigrant from Scotland and grew up on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Trump's childhood was strongly influenced by his father's business ambitions and the entrepreneurial environment in which he grew up.

During his teenage years, Donald reportedly showed a strong character and a certain rebellion, which led to his parents sending him to the New York Military Academy. Here he learned discipline and leadership, which later played an important role in his career.

Training

After his time at the military academy, Trump began his studies at Fordham University in New York. After two years, he moved to the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, one of the most prestigious business schools in the United States. In 1968, he obtained a bachelor's degree in economics with a specialization in finance. During his studies, Trump already showed an interest in real estate and began to delve more and more into the industry where his father worked.
